Welcome to our Two New Postulants!

Welcome Mr. Wayne Mulei and Mr. James O’Donvon to our St. Joseph of Cupertino Province!  Wayne and James were welcomed to our province at our annual Community Week celebration on June 29, 2017 on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.  (They are seen in this photograph along with Friar Roberson Lubin, Friar Paul Gawlowski, Friar John Heinz, and Friar Kevin Schindler-McGraw) Wayne and James then became Postulants on July 5, 2017 as they begin their year-long postulancy in Chicago with eight other men from throughout the United States.  Wayne first met the Friars ministering at our St. Thomas of Aquinas Cathedral in Reno, Nevada. Wayne was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Parish in Reno, NV, in the Diocese of Reno. James first met our Friars at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Castro Valley, CA and is a member of St. Agnes Parish in Concord, CA, in the Diocese of Oakland.  Wayne is a convert to Catholicism, a former Marine, and Martial Arts teacher, and gold medal winner at the international competition in Zhuzhou, China. He has his Bachelor Degree with a major in History and minor in Asian Studies. James was a lifelong Catholic, and has his Bachelor Degree in Psychology. James enjoys reading, playing piano, and exercise. Wayne and James are both serious about their prayer life and Spiritual growth, and both love to serve the poor in their St. Vincent DePaul society ministries. Please keep them in your prayers, and please continue to pray for more Vocations to the Church, our Conventual Franciscan Order, and the World!
