On April 10, 2023, Monday in the Octave of Easter, the Custody of Saint Francis Anthony Fasani organized a picnic day for the brothers at Vung Tau beach. The two participating friaries were the brothers at the Annunciation Friary, consisting of the Curia community and the Postulants, and the Friary of Saint Anthony, consisting of the student friars and friars from its filial house in Long Khanh.
On the way to Vung Tau beach, the communities arranged to meet at Phuoc Son Cistercian Monastery to celebrate Mass and pray together. When all friars arrived at Vung Tau beach, the student friars organized some games for the whole friars to play together. Then some friars played soccer and others played volleyball. At lunchtime, we congratulated father Peter Quoc and father John Baptist Dien who have their birthdays in April. After lunch, the friars and postulants had time to sing Karaoke and swim in the sea. In the late afternoon, we departed to return to the friaries.
Although the outing was only for one day, the friars and postulants had a joyful time celebrating the resurrection of our Lord at the Mass and sharing fraternal moments together.
