On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis receiving the stigmata (1224-2024), The Custody of St. Francis Anthony Fasani in Vietnam organized a seminar with speaker Friar Thomas Nguyen Đinh Anh Nhue, OFMConv., and the participation of many different Congregations in the Franciscan Family. He presented the topic: “Stigmata of the Franciscan fraternity’s life” at 2:00 PM (Viet Nam), on January 1st, 2024 by Zoom.
His presentation includes: firstly, the origin of Saint Francis receiving the stigmata; secondly, the stigmata in our consecrated life; and thirdly, renewing our consecrated life with new enthusiasm.
Finally, he ended the presentation with Cardinal Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Thuan’s ideas in his book: “The Road of Hope”, and invited us to fulfill his advice regarding evangelization in our daily lives, especially during this Lenten Season.
The conversation took place in an atmosphere filled with brotherly love. His sharing also inspires us that we are religious to live our vocation more faithfully through the example of Saint Francis.
