Mary And The Holy Spirit

Fr. Thomas Czeck OFM Conv., National Spiritual Assistant of the Militia of the Immaculata Presents:

Mary And The Holy Spirit

in the writings of St. Maximilian Kolbe

Mary has a unique connection with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We celebrate her as the Mother of God every Christmas but even before the Nativity there was the Annunciation where Mary was overcome by the Holy Spirit to conceive Jesus. St. Francis gave Mary the title Spouse of the Holy Spirit. This unique connection to the Holy Spirit has been a point of inspiration and speculation for Franciscans ever since. St. Maximilian Kolbe has continued the development and the implications of the connection of Mary and the Holy Spirit. Just as Mary can bring us to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as His Mother, she can introduce us to the Holy Spirit as the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Bridegroom of Mary. The Holy Spirit works in souls through the Immaculata. The Holy Spirit lives in Mary in a perfect manner.
