At 9:30 AM, October 4th, 2024, at the Annunciation Friary, we welcomed friars, who belong to Saint Anthony Friary, Long Khanh Community, OFM Capuchin, and some sisters, who came from many Congregations in the Third Order to solemnly celebrate the Feastday and Commemorating the 800 th anniversary of the seraphic appearance of Christ crucified to the prayful Saint Francis of Assisi.
Before the Mass, we spent time having conversations with all our brothers and sisters. We joyfully welcomed our brothers in OFM Capuchin for the first time. They have belonged to one in four Indonesia’s Provinces. They have already been present here in Viet Nam for 15 years. Besides that, there are some sisters, who have come from Japan, Korea, and Spain. This is a wonderful moment on a special day for sharing and understanding each other. Secondly, we gathered together in the Friary’s Chapel upstairs to celebrate the Solemn Mass of Saint Francis’s feast day. The Mass took place in a solemn and fervent atmosphere.
After Mass, we moved to the dining room to have lunch in the fraternity. In the afternoon, all of us played mini-sports together. Each of us were so happy to share and celebrate a Solemn Mass with this event of our Holy Seraphic Father.
