“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
In this Advent season of preparation, we direct our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas. This week, we light the second purple candle that represents PEACE. Let us bring our hearts before the Prince of Peace, seeking His guidance on letting go of all the distractions and clutter in our lives that try to steal our peace.
2nd Week of Advent Prayer
Dear Jesus, you entered our world on Christmas as the Prince of Peace. This Advent, as we strive to become the best version of ourselves, fill us with a deep and abiding peace. Help us share that peace with everyone we encounter, especially those who need it most. Amen.
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6)
