Friars set to Celebrate First Profession and Investiture in July!

The Conventual Franciscans of NORTH AMERICA are pleased to be celebrating our First Profession of Vows, and Investiture, for all the 4 provinces of the United States, including friars from Canada and Australia, this coming July 20 and 21st, 2016!  The celebration will be held at our St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Pismo Beach, CA. One the 20th, at 5PM, our current postulants who are now finishing their first year of living with us in Chicago, will be accepted into our Novitiate that will now be in Arroyo Grande, CA.

We the Province of St. Joseph of Cupertino, are pleased to once again be using our St. Joseph of Cupertino Friary in Arroyo Grande as our Novitiate!  It has now become our National Novitiate, hosting our Four United States Provinces, Canada and Australia!

On July 21st, at 11AM, also at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Pismo Beach, the current Novices will be making their first profession of vows to live in Chastity, Obedience, and with nothing of their own (poverty), for a period of three years.  This is the first stage in becoming a friar in permanent (or Solemn) vows. Solemn vows are typically taken by our friars after the three year period of the first profession of vows.

Please Join Us at the Celebrations, and catch up with friars you have not seen in awhile, meet friars from throughout the United States, Canada and Australia, and support and pray for our young men beginning their journey with US!
