All friars spend one year as a novice in spiritual preparation for the profession of the vows. At the conclusion of the year of novitiate, the friar novice makes his First Profession of the Vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience for a period of three years. This is also called temporary profession. When the period of temporary profession is completed, the friar solemnizes those vows for life.
This year we honor and celebrate the following:
Anniversary of First Profession of Vows: Father Peter Mallin (40 years) and Father Luke Vu (25 years)
Anniversary of the Solemn Profession of Vows: Father Paul Fazio (50 years), Father Anthony Howard (40 years), and Father Christopher Deitz (40 years).
Ad multos annos!
